HTC 10 is solid, but consumers need to be convinced

T
he HTC 10 is no afterthought: It’s a well-engineered smartphone, with all the specs and capabilities of a true flagship, flavored in a style reminiscent of the brand. But, it has been a while since I was excited to review an HTC device. This wasn’t a purely subjective feeling. A year ago, HTC launched the One M9, and it was reported to be a decidedly mediocre device across the board; it almost felt like an afterthought.
Now, with the HTC 10, the problem is no longer, “can HTC make a great phone again?”, but “can HTC sell great phones?”. After all, there should be a full comeback this time.
